# Hermes Agent

> Connect Hermes Agent to Autosana through MCP

Connect Hermes Agent so you can list flows, run them, debug runs, and search Autosana docs from a Hermes session.

Autosana is a remote HTTP MCP server. It is not in the Hermes catalog. Add it in `~/.hermes/config.yaml` with `auth: oauth`. The first time Hermes connects, it opens a browser so you can sign in. No API key goes in the file. Hermes stores the token under `~/.hermes/mcp-tokens/`.

`hermes mcp add --auth header` writes `Authorization: Bearer`. Do not use that. `--auth oauth` writes the same block as below.

## Setup

1. Open **[Settings → Integrations → Hermes Agent](https://autosana.ai/settings?tab=integrations\&integration=hermes-agent)** and copy the config
2. Open `~/.hermes/config.yaml`. If `mcp_servers` is already there, add only the `autosana` entry next to your other servers. If it is not, paste the whole block:

```yaml theme={null}
mcp_servers:
  autosana:
    url: "https://mcp.autosana.ai/mcp"
    auth: oauth
```

Or from a terminal:

```bash theme={null}
hermes mcp add --url https://mcp.autosana.ai/mcp --auth oauth autosana
```

3. Start Hermes, or run `/reload-mcp` if it is already open. Sign in when the browser opens
4. Ask Hermes to list or run a flow

<Note>
  Do not use STDIO (`--command`, `npx`, or `mcp-remote`). Autosana is not a local process. Adding Autosana in Cursor (`mcp.json`) does not install it in Hermes Agent.
</Note>

See [MCP Server](/mcp-setup) for the tools Hermes Agent can call after you connect.
